Tile & Grout Cleaning

Are you about to take a Hammer and Chisel to your tile floors because you're fed up of looking at the filthy grout lines?

Do you miss the white grout on your kitchen floor? Are you tired of getting on your hands and knees to clean your tile and grout? It seems like a never ending project doesn’t it? Let us as tile and stone cleaning professionals come out and amaze you with a new tool we have that will restore your grout to the way it was when it was new.

How Does This Work?

We apply a special cleaner to the tile and grout that helps to release the dirt. Then using our Truck Mounted Equipment and a special tile cleaning tool, we apply very hot soft water at 120 psi into the tile and grout blasting all the dirt out of the fine pours of the tile and grout. All the time the water is being applied, we are constantly sucking the water and dirt out to bring out the original beauty and colour of the tile and grout leaving your floor perfectly clean and residue free, there will be no over-spray and the floor will be dry and ready to walk on in 30minutes.

The 4 Basic Types of Tile

Ceramic Tile – is a man-made clay fired material. Glazed ceramic tile (single-fired, double-fired, etc…) does not normally require any protective treatment. It is the glaze itself that gives the tile its excellent protection and resistance to the absorption of dirt. Many of the new ceramic tiles in today’s market are manufactured to look like real stone; these imitations are quite impressive and can fool many uninformed hard surface cleaning firms. As a general rule the cleanability of ceramic tile is outstanding and the process is generally relatively simple. Professional cleaning and sealing will restore the tile to a like-new condition.

Porcelain Tile – is a very hard material that is particularly resistant to chemical agents, scratches, freezing and the absorption of water. Porcelain is ideal for paving floors in public places such as restaurants, airports, schools, hospitals and shopping centres. It has also more recently begun to be used in residential applications. Porcelain tile can be given a polished surface industrially. This produces the “polished” version with its mirror-like shine. However, unlike the “natural” or unpolished versions, this is more likely to mark. It can even be honed and polished, but this is usually a very difficult and time consuming process.

Quarry Tile & Paver Brick – quarry Tiles are an unglazed ceramic material. They are particularity well suited for exterior paving due to their low absorption and resistance to freezing (the high baking temperatures and high quality of clay used in manufacturing, along with other raw materials make this type of floor one of the most durable on the market today)

There is no particular waiting time before treating these materials because they are not generally affected by blooms, and their low absorbency allows for rapid drying. In both types, protecting treatments should only be carried out when the floor is completely dry. There are different products and processes for these materials according to whether they ate laid indoors or out.

Terracotta Tile or Saltillo Tile – is one of the oldest ceramic materials made by man. This type of tile is created by mixing clay and water, leaving it to dry naturally and finally baking it in a kiln. Saltillo Tile has particular characteristics that demand special treatment. The unique properties exist physically (with absorption), mechanically (with special finishes) and compositionally (with different types of clay).

Bright’s Cleaning 6 Steps intensive cleaning process

1 - Dry soil removal: we will remove any dry soil and dirt by cylinder vacuum before applying the prespray , this is so no small particles are able to scratch your floors in the cleaning process.

2 - Spray a tile & grout cleaning solution- this is a special prespray designed to start the cleaning process.

3 - Brush the tile/grout- this is so all the solution is evenly distributed across the cleaning area and worked into those difficult to clean grout lines- for this we can also used a rotary scrubbing machine on larger ares.

4 - High pressure steam cleaning equipment will clean and rinse with a fully enclosed vacuum system, this means there is no over spray and the water is recovered back in our truckmounted unit.

5 - Dry: After the cleaning process has been completed, we will use air blowers to disperse any residual water and force dry any areas leaving your tiled areas dry to the touch.

6 - Sealer: We recommend using a sealer on your grout after it has been cleaned. This extra layer of protection seals the grout, making it resistant to spills and stains and easier to clean in the future - keeping the grout and the surface looking cleaner for longer.
