This image shows the footstool that was part of a leather suite restoration project we completed in Preesall, Lancashire. Our clients had been recommended our services by a previous customer that was extremely pleased with the results we achieved for their leather furniture.

Leather Furniture LancashireWhen we arrived to complete the work; the gentleman honestly believed that the he owned a grey leather suite. However, his wife knew that it was originally white. We decided to complete a test patch where we were able to convince him of its true colours. He was so surprised!

Through our exhaustive efforts we were able to restore this beautiful leather to its near new condition. This was a clear case of black and white (or in this case grey).

Whilst discussing the leather restoration work the following interesting facts were discovered:

  • If the leather industry did not exist; a huge waste disposal problem would be created
  • Leather products, if looked after, can last a lifetime which makes them a sound investment
  • Aging of natural products such as leather can make it more beautiful over time
  • Leather care is straightforward; spills should be wiped up as they occur and solvents, detergents and soaps should be avoided when cleaning leather furniture

Our clients were so pleased with the results. We discussed general care of their clean leather with them, such as;

  • Ensure to protect your leather from direct sunlight as it is likely to fade slightly when it is directly exposed to the sun
  • Keep your leather clean by using a dry duster to wipe over the leather pieces. A vacuum should be used to make sure that any dirt particles are removed between crevices
  • A leather conditioner is a really beneficial product and can be applied between every six to twelve months
